Hyper-V virtual switches difference?

I made a new external switch in Hyper-V, and the screenshot below is what I have now:



First 3 adapters from screenshot are as follows:

1. Physical realtek adapter
2. Default (non removable) virtual switch
3. vEthernet is the external switch I made

BUT, what is this 4th switch? (the one highlighted in the image above)

My question is what's the purpose of this 4th one here called:
vEthernet (vEthernet (Exte)

If I disable it, nothing bad happens, my network works on both host and guest systems.

Btw. I don't know if the external switch made this one, it was present there since long time ago because it's not the first time I made external switch.

You can end up with loads of these each time you set up a new switch or new vm. I just delete them from Device Manager.

Nothing to worry about.

I saw people complain about this somewhere, but, I did reinstall Hyper-V at least twice, and also recreated switches, but never had issue of switches being spammed like some people do.

This one is the only one that was made, I never deleted anything.

However I would still like to know why it was made in the first place? something is telling me it's not a bug but some temporary functionality.
