Most older games can be run on Windows 10 anyway.
I've run games as far back as 1986 on Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

I think if you want Windows XP 64 your best bet is this site :

There are some older OS'es on the site with the key numbers so you could be lucky. Just search through the archive.
The main problem with XP 64 is that there are loads of drivers missing and the 32 bit ones won't always work.
As a VM "paravirtualisation" of video etc can solve a lot of the driver problems if you use VBOX / VMWare vmplayer --both free and sometimes if you have to use "native drivers" the drivers from Windows 2003 server will possibly work e.g for some printing.
If you want to play around / experiment with XP IMO it's best to simply use the 32 bit version. It runs just fine as a VM and consumes almost zero resources on any decent hardware,

The way to be "safe" ois to make a full OS image backup, with a program like Macrium Reflect (free).
That way, you can try anything, and if Windows breaks... just restore from the backup.

XP mode was awful -- absolutely nightmarish slow performance even on decent hardware.

Just download XP 64 bit or whatever versions you want and run it as a standard VM on either VMWare or Vbox or even HYPER-V if you have pro level of Windows -- or on Linux under KVM/QEMU. You will need own key though.
Here it's working on Linux (Arch Linux kernel 5.11.7) as a VM on KVM/QEMU --no problems with it - Using the Basilisk browser ( a Fork of FF on Win XP so it works with new websites e.g BBC which is a fairly wanted website). This is XP 32 bit version BTW.
To make it run (much) faster replace IDE driver by getting the SATA and SCSI VirtIO drivers from the Virtio windows drivers iso (on the fedora site) and also virtio network drivers and the video qxl driver. If you have Sound issues exchange default ich6 to ich9 or even AC67 (or reverse depending on your REAL hardware). The XP system uses minimal resources and runs quite fast even if you still run from "virtualised IDE disks" - especially if the VM is stored on an SSD.
Easy way is to add the virtio disk as a cd rom to your VM, create a 2nd SATA disk, format it, clone the original, remove original and re-boot from the new one. You can boot a Linux iso and use dd command to clone the hdd's or create a bootable macrium iso on W10 and use that as a boot device.
Haven't tried on HYPER-V. Windows XP runs OK on both Linux and Windows hosts on Vmware too -- although IMO performs significantly better on KVM/QEMU.
