Sounds like something didn't come out right with the OS install on the VM if not from a separate display problem you might be having. What kind of problem are you running into with the cursor? Is it sticking in one place or fluttering at all? being hard to move around?

If you are trying to run a new VM right away just after putting the Workstation 12 Player on and haven't restarted the system that might be an idea to clear the problem up. Sometimes an installation won't be completely finished until after the restart or something else running in the background needs to be stopped where a restart will see VM ware started fresh as well as the VM without a stale driver hanging on you.

As Kari has posted elsewhere, (Windows 10 - Test Try with No Risk, No Install) these VHDx images will natively run on your PC

    - download, unzip, mount the VHDx and note the drive letter it has mounted to, open an admin command prompt and run BCDBoot L:\windows where L is the drive letter.

    It's as simple as that.

Currently Build 14393.rs1_release.160805-1735 Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation

Then reboot and select your new installation, and allow it to get your devices ready, (I d/ld & ran available Windows updates too) and it then within a few minutes, allows you to evaluate the VDHx version.

However there is some odd behavior - The download I did earlier today fired up OK and then after an update, it activated, but instead of 90 days evaluation, gave only 55days - and about 7 hours later, only 54 days are left! Microsoft has also automatically set the system to not require a Password (Passw0rd!) at startup for the default user (IEUser), but has thoughtlessly not changed the policy settings to not require a password after waking from sleep - so if you are not used to using the password, you get locked out.

Still they are very useful for effortless testing of VHDs on Bare Metal, without the time taken to setup a system from scratch, on a test machine that may be hard to install, or just hasn't quite the specifications for setup to run upon.

This sort of delivery may be ideal for Insiders instead of the full upgrade - I'm definitely thinking of applying the system image from an Install.esd or wim to a vhd, and booting from it for the next build, rather than running setup again..

    UPDATE

An update on this thread to let you know that there has not been an update on the Microsoft Edge Development VMs site since the MS Edge on Win 10 (x64) Stable1809 for all available platforms.

This gives a hint about the hiatus in Edge development while Edge adopts Chromium Open Source code for future development. Back in April, early dev builds of the new Edge began to be available for testing were reported in The Verge and are available from Microsoft Edge Insider Channels. They will presumably be made available as VMs once they are considered stable releases.

I've got anything between 50 and 90 days when I let those trials activate, then one rearm changes it to 90 days.
