    Hi there
    @martyfelker

    Thanks !!
    trying it now

    Here's a DIRECT LINK if people don't want to create accounts.

    VMware Workstation Tech Preview 20H1 - Hyper-V/Host VBS Support - VMware Workstation Zealot - VMware Blogs

    I'll quickly test it first with a "minimal" arch linux VM -- NO GUI just samba, SSH, openssl, logitechmediaserver (streams radio and music). Entire system (excluding the multimedia data HDD's) : 12 GB --4GB Free, 2GB RAM, processor count 4.

    I'll stream a 4K UHD movie to a remote TV to check network transfer. Remote client is a 4K UHD capable Amazon box running KODI leia (V 18) connected to TV.

    If that works I'll test more sophisticated VM's including Windows ones.

    updated:

    Initial test working

    now to try out the Video streaming --audio streaming working 100% correctly (Client is Squeezeplay running on the Windows Host system playing music served up from logitechmediaserver running on the Arch Linux VM -- music files on RAID 0 config with xfs file format - so RAID 0 also working (kernel 5.5.4. arch-1 on the arch linux VM).

    The Music server itself is controlled remotely via firefox browser interface at port 9000 on the VM -- easier than messing around with xml files on the VM itself.
