not sure what to do next
I am running windows 10 pro 32 bit on an older Dell Inspiron1545 the version num. is 1809. I was wondering if I
could run virtualization on this computer. I was told to download vmware. I have checked there is no virtualization in the Bios, I also checked the cpu and it doesn't have virtualization inclluded. I am not familiar with vmware products. I installed it, and from then on I was lost. I have a windows xp install disk and I would like to install windows xp under vmware. And then install some older programs that I have. I like them and sure they have been discontinued, I know that there are new and better games out there I can replace most of them with. I really can,t afford to replace them all, and there is one that I am really not sure if there is a newer program to replace it, and I don't want to take the time to learn new software. I was wondering if someone could help me, and any help would be very much appreciated.

We can rule out Hyper-V on that system. As for VMware - that's a maybe but I tend to doubt it. The system requirements note that a processor released in 2011 or later is required and even then, there are some processor exceptions. I looked up the processor used in your system and it is a 2009 vintage.
Still, you could give it a try. I would suggest trying VMware Player which is very similar to VMware workstation but has certain limitations such as the running of only a single VM at a time. With a 32-bit OS and a maximum of 4GB RAM I doubt that you will be running more than one VM at a time anyway. In any case, the point is that VMware Player is a free download so it's certainly worth a shot.
NOTE: You mention that there are no virtualization settings in the BIOS. In general, those are needed for 64-Bit OS support. Since you are running a 32-bit Windows that is not a concern.
