    VMware update -- need to install Ms VC system ??? What is it


    Hi folks

    getting this screenshot when I want to update VMWare to latest release / update.

    any idea what it is ??

    Its a set of dll and files used by a lot of software and common to have several versions on the pc. The idea was ms put out these files so they are fully tested by ms and not some dodgy files from a third party's and anyone can use the functions within them safely

v2004 I've been using VMware Player 12 for many years, decided to upgrade to 16, this is what I get when trying to install:305998 And yes I did run the installer as administrator. So I cancelled, the installer backed out and erased vmplayer 12...

I have W10 Eng 32 bit and latest VMPlayer. I tried installling as W8. It works but vmware tools are messed up. I have other vms with tools already installed. It seems to detect them after I get W10 desktop. Also it never asks me for the product...
Hi there Problem with installing VMWARE tools with Windows 10 x-64 using Windows host. Works fine on LINUX host !!!! (VMware workstation rel 10.0.3 build-1895310) Cheers jimbo
