Fun thing-- Install 1909 183W10 Pro workstation X-64 on XP Host !!!!
Hi there
particularly for @Edwin who likes to make Windows do all sorts of things to "The extreme".
Fun thing only as it really has no use whatsoever -- but on an XP Host (SP3) on a 64 bit CPU you can actually get W10 1909 .183 up and running as a VM (at least on VMWare) -- OK It's Bonkers as the XP VM will only accept up to 4GB Ram for Host and Guest combined --but what's wrong with a bit of fun -- 2GB VM fine for the VM and you'll need VMWare back to version 12 as later builds will only run on 64 bit Host machines.
You'll need to enable VT virtualisation to run a 64 bit VM on a 32 bit Host. The Host CPU must be 64 bit capable so this won't work on only 32 bit CPU's of course.
So to Edwin --you aren't the only Bonkers guy around here playing with Windows. !!!!!
Incidentally on W2K3 server where you can use more than 4GB RAM - works even better --I still maintain that W2k3 (windows 2003 server) was probably the best and most efficient OS Ms delivered - especially in those times.
Nice to know some of us have all this spare times on our hands !! --but it's fun.
You might like this PDF doc also on how to make W2003 server into a decent desktop OS !!!
