    Cereberus--
Speaking of Linux, I followed your post to change screen size by editing the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT file -- thanks.
I'm new to Linux, starting with Mint Cinnamon 19.1 and I'm not sure it's worth the effort to master: there are way too many versions floating around. Version 19 dropped enhancements over 18; setting up a simple RDC was made much harder. I'm sure enhanced mode is equally challenging. At least with virtual systems when you hopelessly screw things up it's easy to fix.
As with hyper-v, there's a lack of intermediate technical documentation -- either simplistic beginner-level or ultra-technical for advanced IT pros. If Microsoft hopefully decides to rethink their bi-annual re-installment ritual for WIN 10, I won't be spending a lot of time with the penguin.

In my opinion, this is quite good: Introduction to Hyper-V on Windows 10 | Microsoft Docs

It might not suit absolute beginners with no knowledge about virtualization, but works well for intermediate level users.

I tried to read the introduction a few weeks ago -- broken links: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/vir...irtual-machine

John Savil's book "Mastering Windows Server 2016 Hyper-V" is over-the-top complicated but I do follow some of it. This site is the BEST resource for Hyper/WIN 10, thanks to contributors such as yourself!
    Cheers!
