Hyper-V Windows to Linux RDC RDP no connection after Xorg loging

I have followed Kari's guide video to setup a Windows host to Linux Mint RDC.

I get to the RDC login but then after a minute or so I get connection failed, here's the screenshot. It says login successful but then connection problem, 'some problem', very useful info...

Does anybody know how to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi there
might be a silly question but do you have some sort of X-Server running on your Linux machine -- TIGHTVNC, XRDP or something similar as I belieive you are essentially communicating with it via some sort of RDC interface.

    Cheers

Was thinking the same, that's a typical error when x-server is missing.

I have installed XRDP on the Linux machine and configured following Kari's video, is that not it?

Did you install the server, too? In CentOS Linux I install both XRDP and Tiger VNC Server with this command:

    yum -y xrdp tigervnc-server

Notice that at least in CentOS, remote connection requires Gnome dekstop. It does not work in KDE and such.

See if this article can give you some more information: Install and Configure TigerVNC server on Ubuntu 18.04 - nixCraft

I will have to try that, I am actually working in Mint. Although I am concerned that even if this works it won't be as responsive as Ubuntu in Enhanced session mode.
