    Hyper-V Questions

I've had windows 10 installed on my computer and was running some virtual machines with virtualbox. I heard hyper-v gets better performance, so I enabled it and created virtual machines. I understand that hyper-v is a type 1 hypervisor. Does this mean that since enabling hyper-v, my windows 10 OS is no longer running on the hardware directly, that it is running on top of a hypervisor? Can someone explain this to me?

Not exactly - it is running like a virtualised pc but has access to all hardware.
