    VM connection issue with Hyper-V

I have had this long standing issue with Hyper-V VMconnection as follows.

Sometimes I have a VM in a window, and I go to maximise it to full screen, but the windows 10 display part does no resize to full Window.

Ok that is usually sorted by clicking the Hyper-V control bar puttin view back to a Window and remaximising again.

However sometimes on clicking maximise, the Hyper-V control bar is totally missing and I have no way of and going back to a Window again.

Worse, you cannot get back to normal Windows ie you lose control of Windows!

Fortunately, I found you can press ctrl-alt-delete and fire up Task Manager and delete the VMconnection instance, and you get control of Windows again.

Then you open a new VMconnection but have to retype password.

Doing the above is a PITA.

Has anybody else ever experienced this issue, and any idea how to get round it more easily than using Task Manager?

I've not seen that, but I have every now and then somewhat similar issue. When going from windowed mode to full screen, or vice versa, all I get is an all black VM Connection window. I must close the window and reconnect from Hyper-V Manager to get it back.

Yeah - it is flakey at times.

My real issue is the fact I lose the control bar. It is not a major issue as I get pc control back via task manager but still a nuisance.

    Are you using multiple displays?

One way to get back when that happens on multi display system is to click somewhere on another display, then use task view (ALT + ESC) to kill VM Connection on other display.

I've had that at times too. Ctrl+Alt+Home is the keyboard shortcut to make it reappear, usually works for me.

My other issue is that I have one VM where the mouse pointer gets trapped inside the VM. When the VM is in a window I can't move the mouse outside. Ctrl+Alt+LeftArrow releases it.

No - only single monitor. @Bree has suggested a key shortcut that may help.

Thanks - I will give this a shot. Much easier if it works !

Regrettably, this did not work. I think issue has something to do with my graphics card.
