Automate LOGIN
Is there a way to automate a LOGIN?
I often need to login to a large number of pcs. I was wandering if there is a way to do it automatically by connecting an usb.
Thanks

There are a couple of tools that can do this. By turning the USB into a security key you can use it and unlock the machine.

Thanks Masterchiefxx17,
the pcs are in the domain .... so potentially several different users needs to logon. In this scenario I'll be very happy if plugging the USB in ctrl+alt+canc environment it will use the credential recorded to directly logon as local admin user.
It seems with rohos logon key software is going to appear the rohos user account icon on the desktop ?
I am sure the users will be confused seeing a "strange" USB logging request and instead of switching the user they will report a computer malfunction.
Maybe you could explain further on why you wish to do this. Users on a domain would have a specialized username and password. Using a USB somewhat defeats the security purpose of a domain.
Hi Masterchiefxx17,
I am supporting several LABs for teaching and practical purpose. The PCs in those LABs need often new software installation, software update, IP configurations, image deployment etc.... Those LABs are isolated to the domain ...they just point to the AD (for the users authentication) and DNS server for this purpose. Is present a DHCP server (win serv 2016) and a shared folders by Samba server. To work on this PCs I logon using exclusively the local admin account.
I was just wandering if there is a easy way to logon as for example using a USB that I can plug-in to be directly authenticate. In this scenario the security is not a big issue the problem instead is when i attempt to logon to 80 PCs one by one after a while i start making mistake in typing .... I am not good as before...ah ah ah I am getting old ....
thanks
Do you not have a remote management tool like System Center or Zenworks? That would make your life 10 times easier! You could deploy the updates instead of going one by one.
