Two accounts

Good morning to all.
I have got a hop laptop it’s a new one hp255G6 model I think I got model correct.Problem is when I login from a fresh startup it shows two accounts one with my name and image other is just a blank one,now every time I want to login I have to go to bottom left and select the one with my name.
How can I overcome this issue is it possible to delete the blank account.I also have tried to setup to login without using password etc but this two accounts is causing a problem. I’m the only user so don’t need a login password,as it’s now set to a PIN number password until I get rid of that second login that shows up.

Hi. Maybe a stupid question to you, Do I really need a Microsoft login name and password. My outlook email comes through thunderbird.

Sorry for delay in getting back to you.
All is working okay.
This did the job...

In the netplwiz window that opens, remove the checkbox from the option "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" then click the Apply button. In the new dialog box that opens, just click the cancel button. The check will back in the option for "Users must enter a user name.....", leave it checked this time and click on OK.

That will clear out the "ghost" user on the login screen.
