"Repair/upgrade using the 'create media for another PC' option in media creation tool"

To create media, go to this Microsoft link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...oad/windows10/
Scroll down to 'Download tool now' (media creation tool). Read steps 1-3 and perform 'Create installation media for another PC'
In Step 5 select ISO file. Read last paragraph of Step 6 as to how to mount ISO and run setup.exe

... then following this tutorial using Option 4 run from your desktop -
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade"

You are essentially reinstalling Windows 10 as ISO = OS dvd. If you have any trepidation, watch essenbe's excellent video in the tutorial first, which will show you step by step and all the screens you can expect. I like to follow his step to get updates later to speed things up. Good Luck on your fresh start.

I'd like to reinstall MS Office Home/Bus 2010 as it seems a bit unstable as well. I installed it on Win 7, and has worked fine with Win 10. How do you think it's going to react if I install after doing the Win 10 repair install, or should I do a reinstall before I do the repair of Windows?

If you check the option when setting up the repair install to 'keep my files and apps', the current Office install will not be affected at all. If, at any time you want to reinstall, add features or repair, go to the Control Panel/Programs and Features, highlight Office and click the 'Change tab at the top, next to Uninstall. From there, you can see all the options available to you from the cached install files (don't even need the orig disc unless you do a complete uninstall). I would do any Office tweaking after the repair upgrade, in case some linked files are replaced. I hope you got to watch the 10 min video in the tutorial to gain some confidence in the process.

You may have accidentally deleted the template or default account you would have to rebuild that or get it from another PC Maybe
