Windows 10 login screen - switching accounts

My boyfriend and I tried to sign up for a streaming service the other day, one that was linked to Microsoft I can't remember which one. It asked us to create a new one which we did. Now today he tried to login to his computer and it loads that account....which neither of us remember the password too. Why is there no switch account feature from start up? How do we switch accounts or bypass this screen? Any help would be wonderful thank you

Hello Bafluffia, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You definitely switched your local account to a Microsoft account.

You can use Option 3 in the tutorial below on any computer to reset your Microsoft account password online at Microsoft. Once you have successfully reset your password, it may take a while before it syncs to the computer you are locked out of while it has an Internet connection.

If you don't have another administrator account to sign in to, then you may need to refresh or reset Windows. I hope you have backups.

You can press and hold the Shift key and click/tap on Restart in the Power menu on the sign-in screen to boot to advanced startup.

If you're able to boot to advanced startup with Shift+Restart as above, you should normally be able to.
