    If you have the cover off, and can see the drive and it's connections, try re-seating the connectors. May, may, just be something dumb like that.

    On reflection, I did drop the computer HARD on the ground a couple of weeks ago. At the time the thing seemed so carry on just fine. I shall try opening it up and re-seating the SSD tomorrow.
