Hello stanroy, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If you like, you could create a new account on the computer, make it an administrator account, sign in to the new account, then delete the old account.

User Account - Add in Windows 10

Account Type - Change in Windows 10

User Account - Delete in Windows 10

I always have two admin accounts on my PCs - one for normal use and another reserve admin account in case I have problems with the main account.
