I appreciate your reply. Unfortunately, I am totally unable to access Windows 10 as my password has been changed or erased. My password is accepted by MSI utilities but not windows. This all began after I installed System Mechanic and possibly a windows update. After I turned the system off and restarted the next morning, I was suddenly logged on through Microsoft.live.com and had to change to login to local. It does seem that Microsoft takes over your computer regardless of what you customize. Cannot reinstall win 10 from ios DVD nor Win 7, nor Vista, nor Win xp. I have several original windows installation disk for each system but cannot install anything. I finally purchased a new hard drive and will disconnect every other device so only the new hard drive, monitor, keyboard, and mouse are hard wired. I have spent days literally trying every possible solution. DVD ISO, USB ISO, Command line, system reset, and so on. A total nightmare.
I did make a full backup with AEOIM before I installed System Mechanic.

So you would recommend that people stay away from System Mechanic? Sounds like major Ransomware if it has physically locked you out of your entire hard drive.

This is the second time that my system crashed by using System Mechanic. I deleted it from my system for a few years. I took a second look recently and installed the trial version which crashed my system completely. Microsoft updated my system at the same time and could have been the cause of this nightmare.
No I would not recommend either way. This whole post is just my recent experience with System Mechanic. I will never put System Mechanic again. I would suggest however that anyone be very, very diligent and watch out for other programs that ilol sneaks into a download of System Mechanic. IMHO it is greedy for any company to include software from another company just for the money. The greed of corporate America 1% and politicians is destroying the very fabric of what was our unique national paradigm.
I had my identity stolen a few years ago and even with the extraordinary precautions I now use, either Iolo or Microsoft managed to break into my system. FYI, my bank account and email were compromised. My bank account was cleaned out 4 times. I reformatted my hard drive, wrote on it, reformatted again 3 times. After installing the system from a Microsoft DVD, I then set up a new bank account which was cleaned out 30 minutes later without my ever using it. In talking with the FBI I realized the keylogger was in the ram of the modem and not on my computer. I now drain my modem every 2 weeks. I have seen the idea of malware being in a modem rejected on many sites but they are wrong. Though the amount stolen was below the $50,000 required for the FBI to investigate they investigated anyway because of the sophisticated nature of the malware was clearly in my modem ram.
Anyway, any software at your own risk.
