Windows 10 stopped asking for password from sleep

    HELP!!!

Hi. For some reason, my Windows 10 on my desktop pc has stopped asking me for my password when waking it from sleep. It was working fine until recently. I'm not sure if an automatic update has caused the issue or not, but, I really want to protect my computer from just anyone accessing it.

I have searched and searched the web for answers and have followed all of the instructions found but nothing seems to work.

I noticed that I have 3 accounts: (1) Administrator; (2) ASPNET Machine Account; (3) guest and other users. Don't know if this has anything to do with the problem or not but thought that I would mention it.

All 3 of these accounts have the box checked to require a password but still doesn't work.

Can anyone tell me how I can get back to requiring the password to access my pc??

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to tenForums :)

There is a setting that controls this behaviour. Look through this tutorial: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html

Something must have got corrupted on your system. There are various options for repairing:

    1. SFC /scannow command
    2. DISM Command
    3. System restore to an earlier point in time when it was working
    4. Try an in-place upgrade repair
