    "Change a password" hung,

(Sorry: I had a stroke in June. I am trying to learn again including reading - so please be generous.)

One of my kids as a joke they tried to change their PC's password, The Pc is hung and is saying "Change a password" and has been stuck for many hours. Should I reboot the PC now as we are not 100% certain if it has the new password?

Sorry for the righting due to the stroke.

    Thanks

Sorry to hear about stoke, glad you're on road to recovery.

I assume they know new and know old.

Could I ask are they using a local account or a microsoft account. If Microsoft account you can access and manage online from another device.

If they are using a local are they the only administrator? I always install a second admin account if people want to be local. The only time it is used is to reset original.

First things first, local or Microsoft?
