Msconfig changed and no more login

Trying to fix one problem has turned to a worse problem.

I set msconfig to not load the start files and now I no longer get a login box. I get the main screen that shows time and date and the little screen icon bottom right with red X (no connections available). Click that I get three icons, one screen with X in it, Ease of Access icon, and power icon.

    No way to login!

I can use the recovery disk to get a command prompt but ca't figure out how to restore msconfig back to loading all the start files.

My system boots SSD which seems to complicate things.

    Desperate!

    Hello riqrat, :)

While on the lock screen, do you see sign-in options if you press the Enter key?

No. The time and date float away and all I get is that no internet connection icon bottom right.

In that case, you should be able to boot back into normal mode using step 5 in Option Three of the tutorial below in a command prompt at boot.

It comes up that it isn't available. It isn't in safemode and there is no item in the bcdedit list with safemode.

However, I was able to solve this.

Although I cannot get into safemode with F8 or holding shift-restart, I was able by shutting down my system 3 times by holding power switch on computer. It came up with options and that allowed me access to safemode. From there I win-r for run box and started msconfig to restore.

    Thank you for trying.

I had the same problem 2 days ago, when I accidentally disabled all services in msconfig because I wanted to do a clean boot.
There was no safe boot option from the installation disk and also system restore did not work and crashed at the end with an error code.
Tried various things with CMD too but no succes...
I ended up booting from my Ubuntu USB and moved my Steam and Origin folder (400+ GB) to my HDD and proceeded to freshly install Windows 10. Also had the joy to install all drivers etc. again.
As you see I learned my lesson the hard way.
