New Win 10 Install - Unable to launch "Start Menu"
I purchased a new Win 10 Desktop PC 3 weeks ago with a 256GB SSD as the c-drive and 1TB HDD as the d-drive.
Last week, I noticed that I had filled up my SSD (mostly because of the size of the appdata folder). Then stumbled upon this site and this thread (Users Folder - Move Location in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums) which shows a way of moving your User folder until another drive.
I decided to go with method 1, which was to reinstall windows 10 and go into audit mode to switch the User folder to d-drive. All seemed to be fine after the install as I created my initial windows 10 user account. Everything works there as normal with the user folder showing up on d-drive.
After loading a bunch of software and restoring some data I had backed-up. I then decided to create the other win10 user accounts that I had prior to the reinstall. After I create the first one, and change the account type to "administrator", I log into it, but when I click on the start menu button, nothing happens. Clicking on it does nothing. I can click on anything else (Desktop icons, task bar icons, notification bar icons), but clicking the start menu button, does not pull open the start menu.
I return back to my initial account, and everything is fine there. I create a 3rd user account and the samething is happening there with nothing happening after clicking the start button.
