    Needing an administrator password

Not having an administrator password is causing all the usual problems.
On settings I wind up on one account that I use pin..
When I first turn pc on I am already informed that my sign-in/password is wrong but I have not done anything yet. I hit the OK button and 2 accounts are shown. So I have to use the pin to start. The account is named "Other"
Control Panel only shows 1 account and that is the Administrator (needs password) and no place to enter one.
Tried making Microsoft Accounts, enabling hidden administrator, even when I get a security code that will work but then the password does not work.
Going thru all the files and folders I can see, occasionally I will see the computer owner which correct EXCEPT the name is all in capital letters. I named the same name but not all caps. My current name only the 1st letter is in caps
I am the person who did something with playing around in the settings(?) not the registry. As a couple of weeks ago my account was "Local Administrator" now it is "Local password protected"

I'm 70 yrs old and this is causing me to get more gray hairs

    Hi.

Did you, at one time, have the system setup to auto-log you in, so you didn't have to enter the password every time? Maybe this will help - see option #1.

so far nothing has worked as immediately asked for Administrators permission/permission.
But in the other account I use pin and I am in?
Checking my settings for that account it just shows that just a pin is need to open but nothing else is need.
User accounts in Control Panel "users" it show just the admin. account and UAC informs the usual "needs admin. pass. etc.
I have PowerShell on instead of command prompts. and get basically same
I am only person on or using PC so this having to have a Microsoft Account, Local user Administrator etc. Has me bewildered.
I have reset passwords and many so many account I an still just as lost.
Would starting out in a "Safe" mode help make changes.

    Thanks

Okay, help me out here, because I am a little confused on the user accounts. Please give me a layout of what exists. Depending on your answer, I have a couple of ideas.

Username>MS or Local account> administrator or not>can/cannot access

    Thanks.

Account I can on shows it to be local password protected account. I can sign-into a couple of MS accounts. But nothing I see allows me to change anything other than name or password.
I can sign-in,sign-off, start, restart but nothing changes.

    copy this command

    reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" /s > %TEMP%\profList.txt

    Launch Command Prompt (Admin)
Right click to paste the copied command (you might have to press enter to execute the command)

Attach %TEMP%\profList.txt to your next post.
