When I first bought this laptop I was able to use MS Edge, MS Games, etc. I didn't like having to sign in every time I sat down since I was the only one that uses it, so I disabled that feature. Now, I've decided I'd like to use them. So, I went in and added my pswd, and I even added my PIN, but it still won't give me access to those features. What am I doing wrong?

The first question I could ask here would be when the laptop was bought but still end up being available after 10's launch but not after the Threshold 2 Update released in November! So you likely have the OEM version for the 10240RTM build there and can try a few things before considering a refresh!
Since Edge is still a work in progress but only lately has been seeing some much needed corrections in the latest Windows Insider Preview builds you have the option to go that route to see the 10240 replaced by way of the Windows Updates into the latest build. With the Threshold 2 being buggy on me I went for the 14271 just now being replaced by the 14279 build. The first things to try would be the System File Checker "sfc /scannow" command entered at the Command prompt(admin) option you get to with a fast right click on the Start button and simply scroll down to.
After that tool runs for a good period of time allowing you to take a break for coffee or tea it will report whether or not any system files were fixed or not able to be fixed where previously with past versions the recommendation of having the Windows disk in the drive while running the tool was made since the tool would then be able to extract the replacement files needed..
The other tool available will run while Windows isn't running and while you can run a fast Disk Check by bringing up the properties screen on the C drive in particular to open the Tools tab and click on the Check button under Error checking scheduling a run of the tool for the next startup would be advised. With the Command prompt(admin) window still open and even before entering the "sfc /scannow command" you would simply type the "chkdsk /r/f" command with both the R=Repair and F=Fix repair switches added onto the end of the command as seen there. You omit the quotation marks however.
After the SFC runs you will be waiting for a bit with the restart seeing the Disk Check tool prompting to press any key in so many seconds to prevent the tool from running which can take another lengthy period of several minutes to cover all the stages of verification and repairs.
By running those two tools however any corrupted system files being replaced as well as disk errors on the main drive are taken care of. Simply rolling things back by use of a System Restore point wouldn't see any of those types of problems corrected while going back far enough before the problem was first may take a bit if you don't have any of the first made. That was while you were still using the password option initially however and would mean loss of any programs added on in between then and now.
I tried getting this issue addressed in the General Support forum, but never got any satisfactory solutions. I shouldn't have to make more than 2-3 ticks, if that, to get back FULL ADMIN privileges. This is DEFINITELY one feature MSoft should have left alone.

Are you talking about signing into to user account or somewhere else ?
Sorry JDS, I thought I gave the error msg it was giving me. The above apps (MS Edge, Calc, etc) "can't be opened using the Built-in Admin account. Sign in with a different acct and try again."

No! You don't understand. It's BECAUSE I used the Built-in Admin acct that I can't log into the apps. I don't even know what the freakin' "Built-in Admin" is. I'm now signing in using a 4-digit PIN. I just need to know how to get back to the default means of logging in.
Are you logging in with a local account or a Microsoft ID? How did you disable the auto logon? Are you logging in with an account you created? If yes, is it a Standard or a Administrator account?
