    Hello and welcome!

If you left the password field empty then you simply need to hit enter instead of typing anything in the password box.

I am assuming you converted your Microsoft account to a local one by clicking on "Sign in with a local account instead" in Settings -> Accounts. If you did it in some other way perhaps you can explain.

Do you see any other user accounts showing up bottom left when you try to login?

As you said, or perhaps, it may be asking for the password one last time, for verification.
    Just a thought.

Hello Vincent, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you used netplwiz to set Windows to automatically sign in to your account at startup, then you will need to go through netplwiz again since you changed your user name to update your credentials. Netplwiz doesn't automatically get updated when you make changes to your credentials, and why it would fail to automatically sign you in at startup after making changes without updating netplwiz.
