Dang. I have the command prompt but it doesn't recognize users
I go to c:\>users and get 'users' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

You are not typing command correct
    C:
    then CD c:\users
    then dir

    3 separate commands

If you still can't find the users dir....from dos prompt....then either its deleted.....or I'm out of ideas

If you can see your C:\ after typing c: Try typing dir that should show you all your directories

Thanks but not there. I am going to get a tech in who has helped before. This has convinced me to have a boot disk or something. I will ask the tech if he can help.
I do appreciate the attempt to help!

Ok if and when you get your computer fixed. MAKE an Image Backup to a 2nd drive, use a program like Macrium Reflect. This will give you insurance incase you have future problems. This is a Free program. Good luck, Mike.

If you started the computer with command prompt it's probably not called C: you will have to find the drive and do a
    Code:
    C:dir
command if your not sure if you have the right drive.

Also the Users folder has a capital U
    Code:
    C:Users

If you read the users reply msg# 13 he entered c: and then saw his C:\ prompt.
Does not matter if the U is upper or lower case. Try it yourself, I have.

Just tried I always thought I would get an error message if not typed the exact way it was spelled, Maybe I am confusing it with Linux. I also found out today that if you press the Tab Key you can cycle threw the folders or programs and open them by pressing the Enter Key.
