    Sign-in problem.

While signing-in, I get the following message.
    ------
Security policies on this computer are set to show info about the last interactive sign-in, but windows couldn't retrieve that info. Contact your network administrator for help.
    -----
Even after signing with Microsoft account, I get the same message.
Only after restoring last saved macrium reflect image, I could sign-in and go to desktop. This happened twice today.
Any ways to avoid such situation in future.

    Hello lvgandhi, :)

If you like, you should be able to disable this policy to no longer get this error message.

    Thanks, Brink.
Today, I did not have problem. Still I am at loss to understand why that error occurred. Macrium reflect saved me. If it happens again, I will use these reg files, as I am having home edition.

I had the same login problem this week. Restoring a recent image did NOT solve the problem. Finally found a fix:
Disconnecting from the router (LAN), in my case ethernet, enabled me to log in to my administrator account (I normally use a standard account).

Then you have to edit the registry so it doesn't happen again once connected to the internet. Run 'regedit' and find this registry key that controls this option:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

The value of DisplayLastLogonInfo was 1 - I changed it to "0" and rebooted. I was then able to log in to the "corrupted" account.
