gpedit is only available for Pro and Enterpise versions of Win10. So you'll have to use the other option listed in the tutorial and edit your registry if you have the Home version.

Edit: Are you looking to get rid of the log in screen or the lock screen? You said "log in screen" in your original post.

    • On your Taskbar, where it says 'Ask me anything', type the word "netplwiz" (without quotation marks) and press 'Enter'
    • Untick the tick-box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
    • Click on the "Apply" box
    • A dialog appears asking you for the username and password to be used for auto-logon
    • Enter your Microsoft account name, your current MS account password, your current MS password again and click on 'OK'
    • The system should now boot into Desktop automatically without the logon prompt.

It is on your system by default. I just double checked as I'm sitting at a machine with a fresh install. Went to the search box on the taskbar, typed in netplwiz, hit enter and the program starts!!

If that doesn't work for you then do it from the 'Run' box instead.
