Anyway to make my "Admin" account to have FULL control?

Is there anyway to make my "Admin" account have FULL control just like the built-in Administrator account? Adding it to the "Administrator" group doesn't seem to do anything and I still have to "Run As Administrator for selected programs whereas upon testing running said programs via Administrator login I don't have to do anything special.

You can turn off User Account Control (UAC), that will stop Run As Administrator prompt but i must warn you disabling UAC will, get your computer infected malware as UAC allows performing an action that requires administrative privileges.

You can use the attached batch script to configure UAC Prompt settings.

This system is an offline barebones VM system so it doesn't matter if it gets infected. But I will try that instead.

You are mistaken about the Built-in Admin account.
All Admin accounts have the same degree of control.
Full control has a specific meaning.

That's the way Windows is designed.
If you run a task that can affect other users [whether or not those other users exist], you will be required to invoke your Admin privileges unless the UAC setting is lowered to avoid that.

    It does do something.
It sets the responses you get to those appropriate for an Admin user account rather than a Standard user account.
If your user account is a member of the Administrators group then, when approving an Admin task, you are only required to click on a Yes button whereas a Standard user would have to provide an Admin user's UserName and password.

The Built-in Admin [UserName Administrator] has, by default, UAC turned off [for itself only].
Your own admin user account could, if you wanted, turn off UAC for all accounts.
Having UAC turned off whilst connected to the internet provides an opportunity for hackers to infiltrate your computer at an Admin level without your knowledge.

    All the best,
    Denis

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

Do you have any remaining questions?
It's such a fundamental subject that it would be useful to deal with everything.

    And thanks for the rep,
