    Multiple MS Account Mess

I'm getting bombarded with requests to sign into my Microsoft Account, and don't know how. Apparently, I have both personal and company/school accounts for three e-mail addresses, plus a local MS account on one machine. I have not been affiliated with any school or company since 2000.

I have an active laptop and desktop, both on Win 10 v.22H2, plus a Win 10 laptop out of service. The current desktop machine has had its motherboard replaced (2121) and replaced an earlier one that died in 2020.

How do I straighten out this mess so I have one MS account with one log-in?

I may also have multiple versions of Microsoft 365. I bought Office 365 for the desktop that died in 2020--apparently bought it twice, but only have a number for one. I believe I ported it over to my current desktop, Don't recall whether the M 365 on my laptop was paid or somehow free. Desktop has 16.0.17425.20058; laptop, 16.0.17378.20184. Outlook in desktop is supposed to have 3 mail accounts, but sometimes show only 1 or 2.

    Go here:
    https://login.live.com/
    and enter your login credentials.

Check whether you can log in to any account you believe to be an MS account.

To check if any of your PC accounts is a MS account see:
How to Tell if Local Account or Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Determine what sort of accounts you have on your two PCs, and make a clear list.

To close a MS account see:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...1-d9d668849979

To switch a particular user account on a PC between a local and a MS account see:
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

    - this provides useful detail on the characteristics of these two.

    a local MS account
    - there's no such thing. An account is either local (not MS) or a MS live account.

When you sign in to your MS account on line you will see alll devices linked to that id. You can have the same MS account on multiple devices as I think you know.

If you have forgotten your password for your PC logins see:
Reset Password of User Account in Windows 10

If you have forgotten the password for a MS account see:
