User and Administrator accounts help...

    By the way, if you ever need the "real" admin account (some folders can only be accessed by that account) you open cmd (with admin. privileges) and enter user Administrator /active:yes.

    To deactivate it again the command is user Administrator /active:no.

    Just tried that command....does not work.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32>user Administrator /active:yes

    'user' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    replaced "user" with my accounts name, same result

    Ok Altae .... Thanks... If I activate it will it stay activated till I deactivate it... Because if it does stay activated I'll leave it on forever...

    the correct command is: net user administrator /active:yes
    net user administrator /active:no

    Thanks Mike 65... I just activated it... I restarted computer and went to some files I did not have access too before and they opened up like a cold can of beer...LOL...
