Can't Find or Reset Microsoft Account Password (Win10 22H2)
Being unable to log in to my Microsoft account or Outlook email, I tried to reset my password. One way to do this is to go to Reset your password. At the point where I must enter the new password in two places, I do it, but I then get this error message on screen, as though I left one field blank: "this information is required" "reenter password". Every time I enter the new password and select "continue", the error repeats.
Background Info:
I installed Windows 10 on 2 PCs a long time ago. They continue to work fine, booting up everyday and logging me in to my Microsoft account on my PC, which is the same as my Outlook Email address. (Of course it doesn't let me see any part pf my Outlook/MSN/Microsoft Account password.) I rarely, if ever, go to that email address to actually look at my mail. For email I have a custom domain and use an IMAP service separate from Microsoft (Fastmail). Everyone contacts me using my Fastmail address, including Microsoft, since they have that as the contact email associated with my Microsoft Account. Occasionally, I have received a notice to reset my password, which I did a couple of times this year, making note of the new password, but I never used it to login to my Outlook email or my Microsoft account on the web, since I don't need to use them, and my computer continues to boot into Windows 10 (22H2), without asking me for a password. The Windows Update App also works, as usual.
