    Microsoft account problem

" Select here to sign in to your microsoft account to continue using apps between this device and your other devices"
    That's a message I get about 3 to 4 times a week.
Is there a way to stop having such a message?

I guess the reason I get this is, I sign in with a local account. Microsoft may not like it

    I have 2 troublesome accounts 1 hotmail & 1 outlook.
I am unable to access the hotmail account because I:-
I upgraded my Win 10 laptop to Win 11 a few days ago. I noticed there was a newer version of Windows Mail was available. I tried it but I did not like it, so I reverted to the original version. On attempting to send an email, I was informed my account, Hotmail was locked.
    -
I fixed that problem but created another.
I tried to verify my phone number for an outlook.com address, It would not send the code.
I tried to register with my Google Authenticator app, t would not accept it.
I tried chatting to an agent, it also failed.
I created a new Gmail account, I managed to register my phone number, and connect with Google Authenticator app.
I tried again to add said details of my outlook.com, it still failed.

From time to time I do have to use the authenticator. Talking about outlook I have that message on my notifications and I just ignore it

I changed the outlook.com for a gmail.com account in Win 10's Mail and Calendar App as I think it was causing the problem. TWT
