How do I remove a user name created when my wife in school?

I have tried to use Win explorer properties to take ownership but... still getting "you need permission to perform this action" when I look in share, is shows her school user name as owner. Then I tried to use takeown in DOS prompt. But I can't figure out correct syntax. This in Win 10 on an old computer. we have laptops that are Win 11 but our desktop... well haven't pulled the trigger on a new one yet. Thanks for anything you can suggest.

Pretty long article, but well explained. I guess you want to take ownership of a folder or file...or do you want completely delete this "school"owner and its account?

Unfortunately your description is very unclear. Perhaps you could post screenshots illustrating what your problem is?

    E.g.
    when I look in share
    - what does this mean?

Once you've created the screenshot image, post it thus:
