    Pin not available at login

Good morning, booted my system up this morning, strangly the time on the screen was 10 pm last night. Tapped space bar for login and screen says pin not available, click here to reset, then creates new a user of which I cannot guess the password. My updates are scheduled after 9pm, so I'm thinking an update has corrupted the login. How can I get logged in? Windows 10 home 22H2 I believe. Happy Friday, and a great one to all. I need coffee :)

    Thanks in advance

    Hi, two options:
    a. use a System Restore point (offline) via avdanced starrtup options.

    b. if you've taken the endlessly offered advice to use 3rd party disk imaging regularly and routinely - restore a recently created disk image.

If, however you believe you've been signed in with a temporary profile.. see

There remains the possibility something is actually corrupt...
Whilst you could (and should) first check your disk (e.g. Hard Disk Sentinel, Crystal Diskinfo), without being able to log in, repair options are limited.
