    Can’t log in

I was fiddling around with my desktop trying to gain access to my old YouTube site. I changed lots of passwords etc, and now I can’t log in to the computer, it tells me the pin and password are wrong. I’ve tried changing my Microsoft password using my phone at account.live.com many times, but nothing works. There is no way I can get into my computer. Please help

Hi, are you certain your account was a MS account? And was it the only one on the PC?

    No access at all? See:
Reset Lost Windows 10 Password without Reset Disk or Third Party Software

Please review the options in this tutorial from the huge searchable Tutorial section:
Reset Password of User Account in Windows 10
and comments following - but as you've already tried resetting your MS password this only adds how to recover from a forgotten local password.
Note that using System Restore (offline - i.e. from a command prompt via Advanced Startup options) - requires a password- and you therefore will most likely find that won't work for you.

Hi dalchina this my reply to your reply to “can’t log in”. I have no idea what password it is or what password it wants. All I know is when I turn on the pc it asks for a password, then tells me it is wrong, or it tells me I have entered the wrong PIN too many times. Those instructions are no good because I have no Windows installation disc, I have no security questions, there is no reset password link on the sign-in screen. As to the reset option which deletes all files, does it only delete files on C? Because I have 2 other SSDs in the computer with duplicate files.
Hi, thank you very much for your reply.

Do I understand you don't know if the account on the PC is local or a MS account? (my first question, again).

I have no Windows installation disc
You can freely create one on a working PC using the MS media creation tool (Google/search for it). Tutorial available in the Tutorial section.

Reset Lost Windows 10 Password without Reset Disk or Third Party Software

This uses e.g. a Win 10 bootable disk- boot your PC from that and follow instructions.

That should at least give you a usable account, unless your O/S or disk is corrupt or failing.

As to the reset option which deletes all files, does it only delete files on C?
I wouldn't even consider resetting the O/S at this point.

(Please don't use the limited PM space to reply to threads- also that means other members who might help can't see your reply, thanks).

Fixed the problem by going to BIOS and then it fixed itself. There is one remaining problem: when I turn the computer on it says "Checking Media Presence" and does nothing for a minute before coming up with the welcome screen, it used to start straight away. Also how can I scrap my PIN and my password so it doesn't need a PIN or a password to log-in? Bear in mind that I don't know my present password.

    Thank you for your reply.

You do need to know the password.

Even if you can log in and then choose to log in automatically to a given account (Tutorial available) there are still circumstances when you will be prompted for a password.

I doubt this will help you now but you can consider the various options:

I have searched tenforums for you for
    Checking for media presence

    See if these help:

Why is PC checking media on startup?
