Required Logon info needed is different

Installed a second copy of Windows 10 Pro on an alternate HDD. After Bootup I an introduced to a logon scree that is different than I am normally used to. I am looking to change this.

    What I see is:

    UNLOCK THIS PC
    Mane: __________
    User Name: ______

    Switch Users

    What I normally get is:

    NAME
    Password: _________

How do I make such changes?

    Thanks

    Hello @WinTenUser,

    Something has obviously changed.

[1] Have you got a System Restore Point PRIOR to this happening that you could use?
[2] Have a look at this => How to Automatically Sign in to User Account at Startup in Windows 10

    I hope this helps.

Since it thinks you had not done a shutdown but had merely locked the PC, had you?

    Do a shutdown using
    Code:
    shutdown.exe /s /t 0 /f
then check that the Unlock dialog does not reappear.

    All the best,

    Unfortunately this did not work.

Are you saying that you used that shutdown command [with the suggested syntax] but it still rebooted to a lock screen/

If so, I think the Windows installation is corrupted [assuming that your first HDD boots up alright, which shows that there is nothing untoward happening with the Bios]. Try SFC or a Repair install.

What I think might have done this is something I selected when configuring the install with NTLite. Perhaps something in the "Unattended Install" section. I have a Windows 11 "NTLited version that does the same thing. I will have to review the changes!

    Thanks for the insight.

    Brian,

    I know nothing about NTLite.

If it is easy to repeat whatever you do with that, perhaps you could first do a conventional Windows clean installation just to eliminate any possibility that the problem has anything to do with your Bios, bootup or hardware configurations.
I won't insult your intelligence by reminding you to make system images at appropriate stages.

    Just an idea,
    Best of luck,

It is questionable whether doing something that is right(periodic disk imaging) or not doing it has anything to do with intelligence, but regardless, no ill-will taken!

Can Bios, bootup or hardware configurations actually alter the Windows logon screen? I would never have guessed that, and thus, this is where I would actually admit an intelligence failure, given that this could happen.

NTLite can allow one to remove many components, features, and add updates and drivers to a native Windows ISO image.
I generally remove thing such as Windows Store, Windows Apps, Windows Gaming, Cortana, Search. I also tweak the Unattended Install so that I do not have to jump thru hoops when installing from scratch.

Perhaps my question should have been directed at the NTLite Forum as they may have encountered such an issue many times.

At any rate, thanks for the info and insight. I will certainly back up a couple of squares before moving ahead.

    Brian,

"I would never have guessed that" - neither would I but, knowing nothing about NTLite, I just thought it might be a simple means of proving that there isn't some other factor in play affecting matters.
If it boots correctly for a straightforward install then you can confidently focus on what you are doing with NTLite as being the source of the problem.

    Best of luck,

    Hello @WinTenUser,

As you are interested in Tweaking or creating a Customised Installation ISO, you might be interested in the following. I have tried out WinReducer, MSMG, NTLite, WinToolkit, etc and MANY others over the years.

    > Winaero Tweaker

There are others here where I have posted . . .

    > WinReducer - Tenforums Search where I have Posted

    I hope this helps.
