    Pin issues

My mother's computer will not accept her pin to login. We have a light switch that doesn't stay on. A couple years ago we had to tape it to stay on. Accidentally, someone had turned the switch off days ago we didn't realize it and the computer went dead. The back-up battery didn't work. The computer's battery was dead and when I plugged it in, it of course ended up at the login screen.

I entered her pin and it said it was incorrect. Tried it several times, then, try it again, and it has the usual welcome and the dots spinning around. It does this for a few moments then comes back with incorrect password. I tried the same thing with her username, and, it does the same. She's never changed her pin or username.

She also never created a back-up flash drive.

When I hit sign-in options, it states the following:

Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. You can set up your PIN again by going to Settings > Accounts >Sign-in options.

I'm using another computer by the way to ask for help!

A while ago, I got to a blue screen that gave me several options on how to login, advance settings, etc. I don't know how to even get back to that option!

    Control, alt, delete doesn't work
    F8 doesn't work

Can someone help me? I have work to do for her on her computer and I can't use this one because it doesn't have the files needed!

    Thank you.
