    unknown account

    Hi
I have noticed on all Documents/videos/photos in properties/security there is an unknown account as per screenshot. If I try to delete it ,I then get a message splash as per second screenshot.
Is there a way to identify this "unknown account" and delete it.
I investigated registry profile image path and it lists this account as myself-strange? Thanks

The account is displating a SID which means the account has been deleted and the name is invalid. You may need to take ownership of the highest folder in the account as that has the permission set

Make a backup of your Registry. Then You can Delete the Profile in ProfileImagePath it really bothers you. As stated this is a non existent User Name because the path moved or the user was deleted.

The screenshot says you cannot remove the unknown account from the file's permissions because that particular permission is being inherited from a folder higher up the directory tree. You need to find out which is the highest level folder that has that unknown account in its permissions, and remove it from there. Start by looking at the permissions of the 'C,Movies' folder, and if that too is inheriting the permission try 'Videos'.
