adding standard user to network operator group results in UAC prompt

adding standard user to network config operator group results in UAC prompt when that user opens task manager.

If the user is removed from netconfig op group, task manager no longer prompts for user's password.

Is there a way to keep the standard user in the netop group, while preventing task manager UAC prompt?

I want to give the standard user the privilege to disable/enable ethernet, but the UAC here is annoying.

You could avoid the Admin challenge by setting up the job of opening Task mgr as a task within Task scheduler.
Your user would then just run that task and no Admin challenge would appear.
