    Win 10 (new install) keeps asking me to redo my pin - but won't let me


    I have a new install of win 10, used about 15-20 times for gaming. Suddenly, when I boot the computer it says

    "something happened and your pin isn't available. Click to set your pin again"

    SET UP MY PIN

    Each time I click the SET UP MY PIN, it brings me back to the exact same screen.

    The only thing I have done different to the computer is that I went into privacy and turned off all background apps before this issue.

    Any ideas?

    go back into Privacy and Undo what you did. See if that helps

    If you see I forgot my PIN, select it and follow the instructions to reset your PIN. If there are multiple accounts on the device, choose the one you need to reset.

    If you don't see I forgot my PIN, select Sign-in options and then select Enter your password.

    None of the above worked -I just reinstalled windows 10.
