Laptop requesting login for Microsoft Email - Brand New Install

I replaced the HDD on a laptop which a company gave to me. I formatted and installed a brand new copy of WIN 10 Pro and the first time I boot up, instead of asking me to make an account, I am prompted to enter my corporate email and password. I haven't set up windows at all. How can I circumvent this? I cannot login and create an new user account because I cannot get past this login screen. There should not be any login screen as I haven't finished setting up the OS yet. Newest version of WIN10 from Microsoft.

Welcome to the forum. Did you totally wipe the drive before install ie delete all paritions? Are you sure its not just asking for an MS account and password thats the default. Remove internet and try again see what it asks for then If all else fails delete all paritions and clean install from there if it wasnt clean it may be picking up old info

Your subject header says asking for Microsoft Email but the body of your post refers to corporate email and password ?

Which ? (The latter sounds like a domain name login requirement ?)

Replaced the HDD ... old for new drive, or just replaced the OS installation on the same drive ?

Windows can be installed in two ways: Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT
To install as Legacy-MBR you must boot the installation drive as Legacy
To install as UEFI-GPT you must boot the installation drive as UEFI.

As you have a new MB, you should install as UEFI-GPT
Detach any other drives (SATA or Power cable) from the MB.

During POST, press F12(?) to launch the boot menu. You will see two options for the USB drive. USB UEFI (Name) and USB (Name). Select USB UEFI (Name).
Go to install and delete ALL partitions on the SSD till you have one and only one unallocated space and then proceed.

If you don't want to use MS account, don't enable updates or connect to the internet during installation.

MS don't make it easy to setup a local account, there is a very small create local account text at the bottom of the screen where it asks you to use an MS account to login. It will go on about a "limited experience" when using local account. To me, that's a limit on MS data they can capture, not really the experience.

Samuria: Yes, I removed all partitions and did a complete fresh installation. Once it finished, instead of asking me to create an account, I was asked for my corporate login using the corporate email. I am trying to redo this laptop entirely. The company gave me the laptop as my laptop, but we cannot get past this login. That is what I am trying to accomplish.

idgat: The corporate email is an Office 365, sorry for the confusion. It was a new drive I installed the new OS on.

Megahertz: Thank you for that info. It is is a laptop and the bios only shows 1 drive installed. I will detach from internet and redo the installation after wiping the drive again.

TidySean: Thank you, but of that I am already aware. I have installed WIN10 on literally hundreds of PCs and I always use a local account.

I have been doing this for 30 years and this is the first time I have seen this process.

As I am also new to this forum, please let me know if you all received this post or if I am not doing it correctly.

    Thank you all,

    Hi,
Sounds like a bios feature the company IT's added to the machine.

Maybe reinstall the old hdd and see what happens or contact the companies IT department.

Thank you for replying. I CAN get into the BIOS, but I am not sure what I am looking for. Any insights? Anyone?

When installing W10 Pro there is a screen that asks you if this install is for personal use or for use in an organization. Sounds like you chose 'organization' by mistake. If so, clean install again and choose 'personal'.
