What does a person gain by logging into his computer with a M$ account

I see Windows 11 will require a person to log into his computer with a Microsoft account, and can't help but wonder what exactly does that person gain in return for giving up some degree of privacy.

Then the second question is once the person has gotten W11 installed on his computer, will he be able to switch back to logging in with a local account.

I guess if M$ paid for my next laptop I could justify logging in with a M$ account, otherwise I think my next new laptop will be a Chromebook.

A MS account gives you the option to sync your setting to any pc in the world on that you sign into and it means you dont need to sign in to any MS service

I suggest you search ElevenForum for this topic.
