Windows Apps not showing Profile Picture

Something very minor but I noticed a select number of UWP apps are not showing my profile picture (Microsoft Store, Weather and Maps apps). Logging out/in of my account in those apps or restarting Windows does not fix the issue.

Anyone else having this at the moment with Windows 20H2?

I have the same issue , I have reported it many times to MS. They do not seem to care. It is Minor but they at the same time loose my default location. I am tiring of resetting it. I can't wait till 21H2.

Yeah I have reported it too several times. If you login to microsoft account in a browser too you'll notice the pics are missing there too. I guess the native apps draw the pics from there. It doesn't matter what device you do it on they are missing. I tried it on my Mac and iOS devices and got same result. Uploading a new pic has no effect and yields the same generic icon pic result. It's widespread. Another annoyance from MS. I noticed it a week ago and they have done nothing. Cosmetic yes but it looks pretty rubbish

Thanks for confirming this. Logging out/in your MS account in your browser makes the profile picture reappear, but still not in the apps.

I have exactly the same issue on all PCs at home, with different Microsoft accounts.
One point of possible interest: I use EDGE (Chromium). Opening with EDGE my Microsoft account information on the web , my profile picture was not loading. I then discovered that enabling in EDGE the 3rd party cookies, then the profile picture was correctly shown. In conclusion, to operate with EDGE on the web site of the Microsoft account, the user should enable the 3rd party cookies.
This however does solve the issue of the profile picture not appearing in a number of Windows apps (only the Avatar profile is shown in all these cases)

You meant it doesn't solve the profile picture in Apps, correct?

Yeah I read that and assumed it was a typo. You'd of thought Microsoft would of noticed themselves by now. Looks lousy. Profile pic missing in all the apps and also if I login to accounts.microsoft.com on any browser. Same across all devices for the latter. Other famaily members see the same. Cannot believe MS ignores it. I know it is aesthetic but just looks very, very poor. No point tweeting microsoft helps as they either ignore or spout some scripted nonsense. Raising on feedback app too is pointless. I don't think MS even reads that one. It's just there because they think it looks good!

I'm still experiencing the issue as well. Just left a feedback but I'm not sure they'd notice it. Perhaps give it a try and please upvote: https://aka.ms/AAd2due
