    Win 10 Auto Login


    I have read and followed the tutorial instructions (Windows 10 auto login with Registry) closely 4 times, and after each Restart, the screen asked for a password with 2 UserNames listed. After selecting the correct UserName, password input, computer booted.
    IF I change the AutoAdminLogon key to AutoLogon, the system still asks for password.
    When I set the AutoAdminLogon to “0” and also delete the “DefaultPassword” value, the PC boots as described (using password).
    I have used both the Registry method and the "netplwiz" method - neither works for me.
    Windows 10 Pro, Version 20H2, OS build 19042.928
    I purchased this Mini PC and use it for only ONE function - to monitor and display engine data in my motorhome. The PC auto loads the program that I use on startup, and I could eliminate the keyboard function if I could get it to boot without a password. Would appreciate any help you can provide.

    Hello Red,

    It sounds like you may have incorrectly entered the password (not PIN) for the account into netplwiz.

    Be sure to undo anything you manually set in the registry (option 2), and try netplwiz (option 1) again.

    Do note the above is only for at startup. You may also want to turn off require sign-in on wakeup below if you use sleep, hibernate, or modern standby.

Where are the settings for auto login ? I found the one for wake up from sleep and set it to no password required.
