Microsoft Account name not showing in settings window
So i'm having a rather weird problem.
I recently made a Microsoft account but when i switch from my Local account to the Microsoft account, in settings my email doesn't appear in the above left corner in the window just as my name appears on the local account.
On the settings window it's blank and just shows as "Microsoft Account" but no name or email showing.
Anyone know what the problem is ?

Exactly where in Settings are you referring to?
Settings, Accounts, Your info?
Is it appearing correctly if you hover over its icon in the Start menu?

Try3 this is when i click on START (windows logo on taskbar) and then go to settings.
In the "settings" window in the top left corner it ussually displays the name and type of account.
When i am in the MS account my email does not appear, it's just empty white space. When i'm in Local account my name is always displayed there.
When logged in MS account if i go to START >> settings >> accounts there my name appears.
It just won't show up if i click on START >> settings in the top left corner of the window.

I still do not know where you are referring to.
Are you possibly referring to what is often called the "banner" or "header" of Settings?
- See How to manage (add-delete) the New Header on Settings Page - TenForums because there are illustrations of both with & without the banner [near the end of tomcat's post].
- If you are referring to the banner then @f14tomcat will be better placed to guide you if any uncertainties remain.

In the link you posted i'm reffering to point 9 in the "Before" screenshot there is the name with white text displayed in the left corner of the "settings" window and underneath that is "My Microsoft account" with blue text.
For me when i'm logged in the MS account the name or email with text in that window doesn't appear.
If i am logged in the Local account then i can see the name.

EDIT Looks like it's just a bug that hasn't been sorted yet.

You might well be right but this is not a topic that I know about. Hopefully, f14tomcat will drop by to offer guidance.

Try3 i actually did send him PM and he didn't have a solution.
I also asked Brink earlier and he said it's probably a bug since this banner feature is still pretty new. He also looked at the screenshot i posted earlier.
Anyway there are moments when my name displays and sometimes it does not. It's probably a bug anyway.
