Why isn't this on my User Account?

    Windows 10 Pro Education

How to not have to login windows 10

How to turn off the password feature on Windows 10

Click the Start menu and type "netplwiz." The top result should be a program of the same name — click it to open. ...In the User Accounts screen that launches, untick the box that says "Users must enter a name and password to use this computer." ...Hit "Apply. "When prompted, re-enter your password to confirm the changes.

Why isn't this box that I am supposed to tick on my User Account?

Click on the start icon. Search for Sign In Options. Open the Sign-In Options system settings. Set Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts to off:

There is a note in Brink's tutorial that explains why it is sometimes missing....

If you turned on Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts (aka: passwordless sign-in), you will not see the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box.

You may not have deliberately turned on passwordless sign-in, I have found that it's on by default in a clean install.

My clean install has the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device key and DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion is set to 2 (which means ON according to the tutorial). Setting it to 0 restores the checkbox in Netplwiz.

My Sign-in options page does not have the "Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts" section to tick off like in the post above.

I had an HP Pavilion Notebook that came with Win8 with the fingerprint reader in the palm rest but Win10 could never find the proper software for it.

    Hi,

The dirtiest way to force that, is using the "Force automatic logon on domain" Registry Hack.

It will work but leave your PW readable in registry. Setting access to that registry key to authenticated users only is safe enough for me.

Used it last week on a pro stuck in a wokgroup.
