Surface Pro 6 - Power on Password required

Over the years, I have always added a power on password to my laptops. This has always been set up in the BIOS.
I am now the owner of a Microsoft Surface Pro 6, Windows 10 v20H2 [a lovely machine I might add] but have not been able to figure out how to set up a power on password.
The UEFI password has been set but I have failed to get a power on password. Searching Google and my question invariably gets changed to setting an UEFI password rather than a power on.

Is anyone her familiar with doing this please?

My apologies, I don't know the Surface Pro 6 so I can't provide a 100% solution for what you are trying to accomplish, but I can suggest a close workaround if you find no answer.

If you were to consider encrypting your drive with BitLocker, there is an option for BitLocker to require a pre-boot PIN. This means that the PIN would be needed each time the computer is started or it will not even boot.

Hopefully someone can suggest a better solution, but I thought that I would point out this similar alternative.

Thank you for the assistance ... I've only heard of BitLocker when people complain that they cannot get through it because, usually, they've forgotten their password!

I shall have a look at it.

Alas. Windows 10 Home installed ... always thought it was W10 Pro?
