User accounts "bleed" their settings into other user accounts

    Hey there!

    MSI Trident 3
    Windows 10 Home 1909 64-bit

Long story short, we bought this computer, set it up, and added a user account for my wife and myself. The issue started with her account icon turning into my icon and now her account has my wallpaper and my color scheme while my account has adopted the mouse pointer that she uses. I've done several google searches and have not found anything on this so, please, be gentle if this question has been asked elsewhere. Would love to know how to prevent this from happening. Thank you in advance!

As a start, please perform the following . . .

     SFC and RestoreHealth

[1] Press the Win + X keys together and select Command Prompt (Admin).
[2] Type the following two commands into the Elevated CMD Prompt and press ENTER after each . . .

    sfc /scannow
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

When the above has finished processing . . .

[3] Right-click on the title bar of the CMD prompt window [ where it says Administrator: Command Prompt ].
[4] Scroll down to Edit and click Select All.
[5] Right-click on the title bar again.
[6] Scroll down to Edit and click Copy.
[7] Paste the data into your post using the CODE tags [ click the # and then Paste the results inside them ].

    IMPORTANT:

[1] It is recommended that when running SFC that Fast Startup is turned OFF . . .

    > How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10

[2] If SFC finds errors that it CAN'T repair, run SFC again [ upto 3 more times ].
[3] To run DISM, you MUST be connected to the Internet to allow the repair of any Component Store corruption.
[4] BOTH of the above require a Restart to allow any pending actions to be implemented.

     SFC Error Report

However, if there are STILL SFC ERRORS, type the following into an Elevated CMD Prompt and press ENTER . . .

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log > "%userprofile%\Desktop\SFC_Details.txt"

This will create a SFC_Details.txt file on the Desktop.

EITHER, Copy & Paste the results into your post using the CODE tags [ click the # and then Copy & Paste the results inside them ], OR, upload the SFC_Details.txt file . . .

    I hope this helps.

Did either of you ever use the other person's Microsoft email address for any reason?

Also, In settings, under Accounts, and sync your settings, turn off sync for the various options there.
