I hope you can see what you need here.

There is no rush - I am sure you have other things to do.

    Thanks thus far

    Andrew,

That looks correct for you to pick up at step 3 in the tutorial below to click on the Sign in with a Microsoft account instead link.

Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just remember that when you get to step 7, it's wanting you to enter the password of the local account you are switching from to verify before it makes the final switch to your Microsoft account.

If you see anything different than from the tutorial, then please post back with a screenshot. I'll be happy to help with it.

    Bless my soul

    BRINK

It worked - I had a memory refresh and recalled where I had noted the WINDOWS password.

It is different to my Microsoft Account Password - though not very different - anyway - I am there now.

    Thanks for sticking with me.

NEXT (but on another day ) is to sort out the Admin account on my wife's Windows laptop - that because (I suspect) we share some programmes - has somehow got my Microsoft Account as the Administrator - with my horrible photograph - which is what bugs her - in fact I am the administrator in practice - albeit not a very good one - but I will not think about that now.

    Thankyou very much
